After choosing these options we all decided to call each of them to see if were granted permission or if there was any information we needed to know before being able to film at these locations and what to do if any At First, we contacted Miguels Boxing Gym however, they did not allow filming at their premises so we crossed them off the list. :(
Therefore, with two options left we called Left Hook Boxing and asked them and we were allowed to film there!! BUT our hope diminished very quickly when we found out that we wouldn't be able to film on the weekends because they were only open from 12 till 1:30 on saturday and sunday AND they were also holding training sessions on those days so it was practically a no go and since the weekend was the only time in which we could guarantee our availability especially for a long shooting day we had to cross them off the list. NOO
So we only had one option left. ONE. LAST. CHANCE. (just kidding) We called up Mckenzie's boxing fitness, by now I was in a corner somewhere ready to accept the defeat and sending goodbye messages to our group chat and then, and THEN we received a very warm voice on the other side of the loud speaker. The coach was glad to have us over to film on the saturday (25/02/17) AND (yes a bonus!) If we still needed to film anything more then he would offer us ANOTHER saturday to film! This was more than what we expected and finding out this information was very helpful for us. In the end we did succeed in finding a location (luckily) and now we will set out to plan our filming schedule.
This experience was really rewarding because we were able to see that not everything we set out will turn out our way and this experience really made us alert of the fact that we need to be prepared for any set backs and think of ways to compromise it so instead of looking for only 3 locations like we did we should have found any others as substitutes instead and see if we could use our school facilities if everything really went downhill.
